How far in advance should I book a table?
We recommend booking at least two weeks ahead for weekend sittings. Midweek tables are often available with a few days' notice, but we confirm only after checking the kitchen's produce order for that week.
Can you accommodate allergies and dietary needs?
Yes. Tell us when you enquire and we will adjust the menu around your needs. Our kitchen handles nuts, gluten, dairy and shellfish, so we cannot promise a completely free environment, but we take every precaution we can.
Where do you source your ingredients?
We buy direct from named farms across Kent, Sussex and the West Country, plus a small number of coastal suppliers for fish. The menu names the growers wherever it can, so you know who produced your meal.
Do you offer a vegetarian or vegan menu?
We always offer at least two vegetarian dishes, built from whatever vegetables are best that week. Vegan options are usually available too, but tell us in advance so the kitchen can plan properly.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel or reduce your party up to forty-eight hours before your booking at no cost. Later cancellations may incur a charge covering the produce we have already ordered for you.
Is there a dress code or a corkage fee?
There is no dress code; we ask only that you come as you are. We do not permit outside drinks, though our wine list includes several English producers worth trying.
